OlaDoc.ie sets as few cookies as it can. Here is the full list and what each one does.
Strictly necessary
- WordPress login and session cookies (
wordpress_*,wp-settings-*) — set only when a doctor or staff member logs in. Patients never receive them. - Booking flow — your booking details travel in the form itself; we do not set a tracking cookie to follow you through it.
- Stripe — when you pay, Stripe sets its own fraud-prevention cookies on
stripe.comandcheckout.stripe.com. See Stripe’s cookie policy. - Daily.co — if you join a video consultation, Daily sets technical cookies on
daily.coto run the call. Nothing is recorded. - ola_hv_county — when home visits launch, this remembers the county you selected for two hours so we only show doctors who cover it. Not set today.
Analytics — only if you say yes
We use Google Analytics 4 with Consent Mode set to denied by default. Until you choose, no analytics cookie is set and only anonymous, cookieless pings are sent, with your IP address truncated. The cookie banner lets you accept or reject analytics; you can change your mind at any time with the Cookie settings link in the footer. Your choice is remembered for 180 days in a cookie called ola_cc.
Advertising measurement — only if you say yes
If you accept marketing cookies, Google Ads may set cookies (such as _gcl_au) so we can tell whether an advert led to a booking. We share no health information for advertising and never let an advert follow you based on your consultation. If you reject marketing cookies, Google receives only anonymous, cookieless signals with advertising identifiers removed. OlaDoc.ie sets no social-media cookies.
Managing cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the strictly necessary ones may stop payment or video from working.
